Colliery Park and Buttertubs Marsh

Below were taken from Colliery Park and Buttertubs Marsh in May 2023. I had not been there before, so I did not know what to expect. It was a gray day and the lighting was flat. Will definitely be back, hoping for some dramatic weather the next time.

I loved the reflection here. This photo would have been better with some mist or fog adding to the composition.

Most will find slugs gross but he seemed so peaceful on this green leaf.

To get this photo I had to climb down the side of a muddy embankment. Risked dropping my camera in the water at the bottom as I stepped across slippery rocks and fallen trees.

I love the contrast in color from this hydrant and the forest behind. First time I have come across a fire hydrant in the middle of a forest.

Taking joy in noticing the little things. I really need to learn my flowers. Beautiful little lily.
